I have a new theory.
Feb. 7th, 2005 07:40 amMy new theory is that the night shift in my brain is staffed by bug-eyed neurotic caffeine-crazed overachieving squirrels.
This would explain the dreams.
And when the sloth who's supposed to man the desk for the conscious mind has to call in sick ... well, you can always get a squirrel to sub on short notice. They're eager to please, my night shift squirrels; they just shouldn't be let out alone, or put in charge of anything important.
And that would explain the night I spent last night. Hoo boy. You know it's bad when I get up at quarter after seven because I can't stand to stay in bed one freaking minute longer.
I suspect somehow that today is not going to be my best day ever.

Date: 2005-02-07 02:41 pm (UTC)Right now, I could use a squirrel or two; the night shift still seems to be running my forebrain.
