4,044 words on Kekropia. I got past the Place of Ghastly Stuckness, and all the words were waiting for me on the other side.

Also exercised, after three days off for menstrual cramps (bleah). 50 minutes weight training, yoga, etc.

Pretty darn pleased with myself, right at the moment.

Way to go! I'm impressed with the 50 minutes. I've gotten reasonably good at doing my exercises regularly, but I find it really hard to do more than 20 minutes without a class or a dvd or something to keep telling me what to do.

1. I had George Michael in the stereo (Faith, one of my triumvirate of guilty nostalgia crack, along with Like a Prayer and Prince's songtrack for Batman) and when I'd finished the specific exercises, I just, um, danced. If by "dance," you'll allow "moving vigorously and more or less rhythmically." No one else home, and no mirrors in the bedroom. If I look like an idiot, no one knows but the cats, and they knew that already.

2. Books. Books are your friends. I have Weight Training for Dummies and Jennifer Kries' Pilates Plus Method. I also have a yoga book, but I don't need it nearly as often, because after several years of taking yoga, I can remember the poses I want most of the time. But I've done more than a few workouts with one or both of those books open beside me, stopping after every exercise to look for the next one.

Hee! I haven't heard Faith in years, but it would be good to dance to. I could definitely dance, using your very useful definition, for an hour. Unfortunately, my only guaranteed uninterrupted time is before everyone else gets up, and I don't think my family would appreciate being woken by Prince or Parliament or whatever.

Books are definitely good, when I persevere. Thanks for the weight training title; I've been wanting to get a bit less haphazard with using my dumb-bells. (Stupid word.) I also have a belly dance dvd that I sometimes do on; it's fun and challenging, but, given my skill level, not very satisfying as a workout.

Waiting on the other side if how it often works for me too. Well done.
