I'm one of the cool kids now. I've figured out how to use hairsticks.

In the middle of Chapter Three. The book seems to suck less as it progresses, so of course now I'm paranoid that my critical brain is slacking off.

Can't fucking win, man.

I don't usually post bits of prose, but I just came across what may be my favorite passage in Kekropia, and I figure all y'all who've been reading my bitching and moaning deserve a present.

So:

"How'd you get that scar on your face?"

Powers and saints, I thought. "A knife fight."

"Like a duel?" And he was all wide-eyed, like a little kid listening to a story.

"No, like a knife fight."
