rysmiel, I thought of you explaining to zorinth just what Americans think they mean by that phrase, and even more so when I discovered one of the sides was "Irish-style cole slaw."
It was perfectly adequate cole slaw, in case anyone is wondering, but I detected nothing that made it distinctively Irish, or in fact anything other than utterly mediocre American.
We won't be eating there again.
