I think I'm ready to sign off on Chapter One.

I am reminding myself that it does not have to be perfect. My editor's going to want changes anyway; there's no point turning into a coked-up circus poodle just because of the statistical likelihood that I haven't thought of everything. I've got beta comments from matociquala (to whom mille remerciements and mad fangirling) up through Chapter Five. I'm ahead of the pack and doing fine.
