The half-written novel next up on my list--after A Companion to Wolves, which I finished with yesterday--is The Emperor of the Elflands (also, incidentally, the inspiration for Monday's novel as marriage post). It's been stalled for rather a long time due to one thing (Kekropia) and another (infernal stuckness). But yesterday, after whining interminably to the long-suffering [livejournal.com profile] matociquala, I figured out what to do about the stuckness, and today, after some more whining, I figured out how to do it.

Today's progress: 1,118 words. The draft of EE is now about 42k. I don't know how long it will be when it's done; we'll find out when we get there.

I am tremendously relieved simply to have made progress on it. It's still willing to talk to me; things may work out all right after all.

[ ETA: And, of course, As You Know Bob, May is WriYoFuFMo. I am right on schedule. ]

Unstuck!!!

I am unstuck now, too, though I didn't realize until afterwards how stuck I had been.
