The only queer fantasy novel that springs to mind is Gael Baudino's Gossamer Axe. Most other queer fantasy I've read has been short story form. So, that's one sample of female written queer fantasy.

Wait, scratch that, [livejournal.com profile] pegkerr's The Wild Swans. Again, woman author. Hmmmm.

I probably wouldn't be a good person to ask, though, since I don't actively seek out "X or Y or Z fantasy." Just good reads. So I don't register things like gay characters unless it's something really wild.

The Door into Fire by Diane Duane is another example. It's the first book in her The Tale of the Five series.

Kim Harrison's "Dead Witch Walking" books have queer characters as well.

And as I said in [livejournal.com profile] matociquala's journal just now, if we were only allowed to write character which match our own gender and sexuality stats, we'd really be in a pickle!
