My list of works in progress has dropped from 22 to 21.

"Under the Beansidhe's Pillow" only needed tinkering, and this morning, I tinkered.

Therefore, let us not say that memes are without use-value.

Of course, I promptly have to turn around and find a market for it. And this is one of those days where it seems like every market in the world either (a.) is closed, (b.) has one of my stories in submission already, (c.) has already rejected this particular story, (d.) pick two.

This is the sort of thing that makes people say short stories are more trouble than they're worth.

Isn't it a GOOD thing to have so many stories in circulation you're having trouble finding a market?

Not when half my problem is the number of markets currently closed to subs.

I did, however, find a place to send the beansidhe today, and the zombie coyotes, and the feral children, so I'm feeling less cranky about it.

Three more turnips lobbed.

I must FINISH my next turnip, all the more annoying since I know exactly what will happen in the story, I am just having a hard time getting motivated.
