Best. Meme. EVAR.
Oct. 12th, 2005 01:10 pmomg I am so not kidding.
I just got back from the post office, whence I lobbed five turnips. (The mental image works better if you imagine the turnip-scale trebuchet on top of the WPA-era post office. [ETA: actually, no. The mental image works best if you imagine a full-size trebuchet lobbing turnips off the top of the WPA-era post office.]) Two of them are stories in this meme, and a third is a sequel to one of the two.
For those of you keeping score at home, that makes four stories finished in the wake of doing that meme: "Under the Beansidhe's Pillow," "The Clockwork Pianist," "Blue Lace Agate" (formerly "The Ghoul Hunters"), and "Listening to Bone" (which appears in the meme as untitled Kyle Murchison Booth story). And I couldn't have written "A Night in Electric Squidland" (and "Under Babylon," which I'm working on now, and which is the third story in the sequence) at all if I hadn't finished "Blue Lace Agate" first.
That is a hell of a lot of return for one silly meme.
