408 words, finishing "Under Babylon" (Ghoul Hunters 3), which clocks in at 5,500 words for the first draft, although I have the feeling this one's gonna need some more work.
And 1,663 words on Ghoul Hunters 4, which does not yet have a title, and may have delusions of novella-dom. Silly, silly story.
Which makes a total of 2,071 words for today, plus I think I may have figured out something crucial for "The World without Sleep" (also a respondant in the infamous meme). I didn't realize when I started this story that I was setting out to write my own Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath, especially since at the time I had neither read nor heard of TDQoUK, but that's really what it is. And I'm not even a little bit sorry, either, regardless of the fact that I know no one in their right mind will ever want to publish it. It will make me deliriously happy, and really, when you think about it, that's a lot. So tra la la unmarketability la, I sing with mehitabel the cat: my youth i shall never forget / but there s nothing i really regret / wotthehell wotthehell / there s a dance in the old dame yet / toujours gai toujours gai.
