Thanks for posting the link--that was fabulous! I've always loathed The Sound of Music for its sappiness and the sixteen-going-on-seventeen stupidity. Now I can also hate it for its gross historical and geographical inaccuracies--yay!

Honestly, it's pretty fucking funny even if you love The Sound of Music. (Don't everyone throw things at once!)
Its flaws do not keep it from being loveable, IMAO. And, heck, there's nothing more fun than pointing and laughing at silliness.
