It occurred to me that some of y'all might (a.) not know about this and (b.) like to know about this. Namely that Naxos has a recording of a number of Thomas Campion's lute songs. ([livejournal.com profile] matociquala is talking about Campion this morning, which is what made me think of it.) Along with lots of other very cool stuff: I also have their recording of John Dowland's lute songs and some other early music--and then there's the whole rest of their catalogue.

If you're going to order, I recommend ArkivMusic rather than Amazon, because ArkivMusic gives you the lovely lovely Naxos prices. Amazon inflates.

Ooo -- thankee much. Dowland's easy to come by (the Musical Heritage Society has a couple recordings) but I've been wanting Campion for a while now.

eMusic (http://www.emusic.com/browse/c/b/-dbm/a/0-0/1611605638/0.html) hath Campion (and most of Naxos) at most reasonable rates. Forty free downloads if you join.
