My book catalogue is complete through the B's. (Except of course for the A and B books that I've bought since the last time I actually updated my old catalogue. Tra la.)
matociquala has a couple of breath-stealingly beautiful posts--quite different from each other--about the place where she lives.
I can't write about place like that. I only wish I could.
Another quote for today:
I'm on page 271 of A Companion to Wolves. The one place where Bear's virtues do not balance my defects and vice versa is the part where we both love complicated syntax. Some of these sentences should be taken out and shot for their own good.

Another quote for today:
Down in the lab, Edward collects brains in jars, cackles wickedly, plots the downfall of his bosses, and wears what can only be described as the worst wig in the history of movie-making. This is a wig with such godawful presence that it permits Edward to use editorial "we" without sounding like a schizophrenic. Clearly, when he says "We'll show them who's in charge!" - by "we" he means "me and this-here wig."
--wicked_wish, reviewing Beyond the Walls of Sleep. Remember, kids, she watches 'em so we don't have to.
