Let's have some celebrating, what say.
Aug. 30th, 2006 12:41 pmCogratulations to John Scalzi, winner of this year's Campbell.
Congratulations to
davidlevine on his Hugo for "Tk'tk'tk."
And to all the other Hugo winners, but David and John are the two I personally know and hugged.
(And, no, I am not linking to Kathryn Cramer's photographs of me, because lo I am antiphotogenic. Also with the true demonic nature showing in my beady red eyes.)
My contributor's copies of Tales of the Unanticipated 27 arrived, and "Katabasis: Seraphic Trains" is the lead-off man.
Also, two sales: "Amante Dorée" (the alternate history transsexual story) to Paradox and "Letter from a Teddy Bear on Veterans' Day" to Ideomancer. The Nov/Dec issue of Fantasy will have a new Kyle Murchison Booth story, "Thirdhop Scarp," in it. I understand there will be an interview with yrs trly as well. Also, sold "Three Letters from the Queen of Elfland" for a Czech anthology--my first foreign rights sale!
ETA: And The Bone Key has an Amazon listing.
ETA(2): And have I remembered to mention that "Why Do You Linger?" has sold to Subterranean?
ETA(3): My contributor's copy of The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror 19 was just deposited on my porch by the excellent postal ninjas.
w00t! all 'round.

I mean, the effect has some amusement value and all, but still--it's better for the demonic attributes to come as a surprise, if they're going to be effective.
