where have I been?

I haven't been posting because (a.) head cold and (b.) my Kinesis is in the shop, and typing on a standard keyboard is good for about ten to fifteen minutes before my hands and wrists go to red alert.
This means we're developing a backlog, because I want to post about:
--WorldCon
--Monstrous Adversary, Alan H. Nelson's magnificent biography of the seventeenth Earl of Oxford
--the first series of Sapphire and Steel*
--the very strange dream I had this morning that was clearly trying to tell me something about my writing--or possibly not the dream itself, but if I can figure out what it was trying to tell me
--and probably other things, but the warning claxons are starting to sound, so that'll have to do for now
---
*The IMDb has an almost charmingly stupid goof and lists David McCallum (the eponymous Steel) and Joanna Lumley (the eponymous Sapphire) as appearing in only the first two episodes of the show--which is why they aren't at the top of the cast list where they belong. (In fact, they're at the bottom.)
