So, thanks to Bear, I know that really and truly, Felix is David Bowie.
ETA proof, also thanks to Bear.
ETA still more proof (DB is also mostly blind in one eye; his bad eye--according to Wikipedia--is the left eye, but since his right eye is that creeptastic pale pale blue, thefreakish congruity of image resemblance stays solid.)
Oh fuck it. ETA pictures of David Bowie just because.
Until noonish today, I had no idea.
You may now all adjust your imaginations accordingly.

Date: 2006-09-20 07:52 pm (UTC)I hadn't a clue either! That video was just...strange and weird and twisted and I did like it. It fit Felix very well. Made my mind hurt just watching it.
EEEE!

Date: 2006-09-20 08:43 pm (UTC)i have not had a chance to post my full-fledged review of your books but i will be, and i just have to say i picked both up after a long day's drive when i could not get on the internet at all. i was happy to see them (yay for good bookstores), and i wasn't at all frustrated at not being able to get online that night; in fact, I was up till six a.m. reading (got through the first, leaped for the second, and then got 2/3 way through the third before having to sleep). truly truly addictive.
just like david bowie!

Date: 2006-09-20 09:04 pm (UTC)Currently in the process of reading Melusine. The novel has completely changed for me; it will never be the same again after today.
I can't tell you what David Bowie did to my 10 year old self when I saw Labyrinth in the theater.
Nice pictures ;).

What did somebody say in another comment? Surrender to the Bowie.
Definitely.
Oh, and his left eye got damaged in a fight when he was a teenager. Since then, the pupil is really wide and doesn't react to light anymore. Those eyes give him something extra special. There are probably hundreds of people who will swear his left eye is brown, though they're actually both the same colour.
