Mélusine has earned out its advance.

This news could not come at a better time for me personally, since my deadline for The Mirador is barely two weeks away and I am having the inevitable crisis wherein the author becomes convinced that nothing she has ever written or will ever write is a damn bit of good. Most especially the thing that's due in two weeks.

You know. That.

So that particular missive in today's mail was an unexpected blessing; I feel much better than I did five minutes ago.

(Yes, external validation is a snare and a delusion, but sometimes it feels good anyway. Especially when in the context of one's finances.)

Tangent Online reivews Clarkesworld Magazine 1. So does SF Site.

Congratulations!

Actually, I think only a perfect person or a sociopath could ever be satisfied by all internal and no external validation.

I just finished Melusine for the molly house, and approximately two minutes later was on amazon ordering the Virtu. Thus while I offer congratulations, I also exhibit absolutely no surprise at your success. ;)

Having no frog, I'm left with no option but to throw roses at the author.

Whoohoo! Yeaaaaaaaaaaahhh! Congrats!
