In other news, the revisions are producing definite flaws in the space-time continuum. I am hoping like mad that I will catch and kill all the continuity glitches before we see print. Beautifully put, but not necessarily true: my mother's cat did that. In bed he inserted himself between her and the wall, placed his feet against the wall and stretched / pushed. ("Darling," she told me, "He's so demanding in bed.")

"Jigawatt" is an archaic pronunciation, which might plausibly have been current at the point at which Doc Brown was being taught science as a kid, had he an old-fashioned teacher.

Though it could also easily have been a mistake.
