(Okay, yes, the unifying theme is a bit of a stretch. But!)

1. Email today from the editor of Trochu divne kusy 2 (the Czechoslovakian anthology which is currently my one and only foreign rights sale) to say that the anthology was named best anthology of the year by the Czech Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror, and the editor himself won Best Editor.

2. Pravda has the most awesome underwater photographs of tigers diving for meat. That white tiger looks like the avatar of an ancient god of wrath. (Okay, and then the avatar of the ancient god of yummy!) Thanks to panjianlien for the link.
