Today, my word count on Summerdown jumped from fifty-three thousand some to sixty thousand and sixty-one. Much of that wordage--like, way more than half--is not new, but comes from the Great Purge back in February.

I keep a kill-file of everything I cut that's more than a couple of sentences long. Only rarely used anything out of it, but sometimes; I like to have it there.
