T-50 and counting

2,034 words. More than I needed for today, less than I needed to make up for yesterday.

I'm going to confess. I'm in the middle of Chapter 12, and I have only the vaguest idea of what the rest of the book is going to look like. I am proceeding in fits and starts*, from one bog of writer's block to the next. If you think this is an uncomfortable situation to be in, you are 100% correct.

Ugh. You have my heartfelt sympathies. I'm not an outliner, so I know what it's like to be staring into the trackless wilderness of the Rest Of The Book and have no idea where you're going.

The elephant shrew is ready to help sniff out the story, for the bargain price of some bugs to eat.

Good god what a proboscis.

Uncomfortable is not fun

Just . . .trust the force, Luke.

(Had to say that. Just waking up.)

Well, as a reader, I trust your writerly instincts. You've done great so far. I wish this wasn't uncomfortable, but I'm glad you are writing through the discomfort.

Ugh. I am so sorry.

I've been doing that on and off, but not just at the moment. "Bog" would cover it, if spread thinly. Only nobody would want to spread a bog thinly. It's bad for the orchids.
