Also, buymeaclue says, in an utterly different context:

Everything is awful and I'm dumb as a rock and only half as competent and everybody knows. But that's as bad as it can possibly get, and you survive. And you go on.

There's something very soothing in that.

And jaylake has been blogging about his New Model Process for a while, wherein he is doing the second hardest thing in writing. The first hardest thing is writing, which is what kateelliott is talking about; the second hardest thing is writing better. Both processes are improved, though not made easier, by remembering that buymeaclue is right. "That's as bad as it can possibly get, and you survive. And you go on."

Pick yourself up. Dust yourself off. Throw yourself at the wall again.

I said just about the same thing to stillnotbored yesterday, though I channeled Finding Nemo instead. ;-)
