--FerretBrain enjoyed Mélusine more than they meant to. (Have I posted that link before? Mind like a steel wossname.)

--The Dragon Page is unimpressed by The Mirador.

--Curled Up with a Good Book reviews Best New Romantic Fantasy and likes "A Light in Troy."

--[livejournal.com profile] temporus has a lovely review of A Companion to Wolves.

--The Gaylactic Spectrum Awards have been announced. The Virtu made the Short List. As did Carnival. Vellum won--congratulations, Hal!

I am half-way through "The Virtu" and am squeaking with excitement and trying not to spoil any of it for [personal profile] bookzombie.

Congratulations!

I really enjoyed The Virtu, more than Mélusine, actually. Quite well done. Congrats! Working my way through The Mirador now. :)

I don't know why, but I am always a bit surprised when an author has read what I've written about their novel/story. I should know better, working with technology and the internet at the day job.

I'm happy to hear the review called lovely. :)

Bone Key excerpt - lovely. I had somehow missed that it would be a whole set of stories with the fellow from "Wait For Me", and am thus pleasantly surprised. That was exactly what I needed to chase away the funk left by finishing Ha'Penny this morning. Now I badly want more of Miss Cobourn, and to know what ...er... .

The review of _The Mirador_ wasn't bad at all. The characters obviously made an impression, as well as many other things. It was a pretty positive review--only stating that the book felt more like a middle section, setting things up for more to come. (I happen to like the middles of trilogies, so this isn't a bad thing to my mind.)

I'm in the middle of _The Mirador_, myself, and heartily enjoying it. I can see what the reviewer was talking about. There isn't the driving plot that there was in the first two books. This one seems very concerned with chasing ghosts, literally and figuratively, but the pacing of their doings and adventures is fine and the characters are as intriguing as always... that's good enough for me.

oh... Just finished... I loved it. Ending was fine! Ghost stories--great! So good to know more about everyone: Felix, Mildmay, Mehitabel... and the rest (so many wonderful characters!). I think I enjoyed this one even more than the previous ones. I LIKE getting to know the characters, and the pace and plot allowed more time for the fantastic setting as well.

Thank you. ^___^
