Um, yes, I am back from WFC. I had a fabulous time, almost none of which I actually remember. Three nights of five-or-less hours of sleep is almost definitional FAIL for Mole's higher cognitive functions. (Nine hours seems to be optimum, but is also incompatible with a con.) Perhaps if you have memories of me from this weekend, you could comment with them here?

[livejournal.com profile] rivka is getting miscued by The Mirador. (No, Lenore will not be in Corambis and has nothing to do with the series endgame. Nor will any of the other characters introduced in this book. We'll be following Felix and Mildmay off into exile.) Sorry about that!

I was rather startled to come home and find all these reviews scattered about the intarwebs.

Nor will any of the other characters introduced in this book.

. . . questions are bubbling up in me now, but it might be better to just wait.

Also, I re-read the ending of _Dogsbody_ and didn't understand it any better. Discussion: http://kate-nepveu.livejournal.com/265643.html

meep.

I haven't read The Mirador yet (it has a place of honor on my bookshelf, though!) but I'm a huge geeky fangirl and I enjoy your LJ. In case there are others out there like me, it would be a kindness of you to spoiler-cut everything in the second paragraph of your post that's in parentheses. pretty please?

Oh dear. Yes, I suppose that is rather spoilery. Sorry.

I ahve no memories of you from this weekend, but I wasn't within five hundred miles of you the entire time, so it would be strange if I did have any.

On the other hand, they've been discussing, among a lot of ther things, this (http://imdb.com/title/tt0286921/") on Making Light. Have you seen it? It has Eddie Izzard in it.

Although I read Melusine and Virtu AGES ago, I finally picked up my copy of Mirador. And read it in one night, in lieu of actual sleep. :D And then, distraught that I couldn't have savoured it a little bit longer, I reread Virtu. Except I think the lack of sleep might have been getting to me, because I read perhaps entirely too much into random things which resulted in a huge conspiracy theory that I dismissed as soon as I regained coherency. /Nervous laughter/ So, I suppose being miscued about NEW characters couldn't be THAT bad, no?
By the way, I love you. <33 Heh.

There will be reviews of The Virtu and The Mirador -- arrival of which curtailed my review of Mélusine -- just as soon as current four-day migraine looses its claws. Owwww. Meanwhile, thank you! I'm entirely caught up and besotted.

Hi, I've been reading your livejournal for a while, and I recently picked up a copy of The Bone Key. I just wanted to say that I utterly adored it. Thank you.

Sarah -- it was great to see you at WFC; I'm sorry it wasn't at greater length. Next time!

No more Mehitabel? I am sure Corambis will be wonderful, but I will miss her.

Also, I managed to get hold of The Bone Key yesterday, and I enjoyed it very much. It made me laugh, too, which I wasn't expecting.

Seconded the "missing Mehitabel" comment. She was a breath of fresh air. Still really looking forward to Corambis, of ourse. :-)

I found Melusine by accident 3 days ago. I've since revisited the store and have been cocooned in all 3 wonders of your world. It is SO exciting to discover a new author, so beautifully schooled in the literary tradition, with such a compelling voice and distinctive style... and for me, so wonderfully tuned to all the wicked pleasures of magic, mystery and slash. :-) Now I'm wondering how I'd live till Corambis is completed. I shall try to be content with The Bone Key, but my heart is in exile with Felix and I eagerly await his return... Thank you for sharing your world and gift of writing.
