She's so self-disciplined! She's planning to catch up on LJ in one huge time-sucking swoop and so she's been largely offline even for e-mail since she got in. The current order of things suggests that she might get to doing computery things this evening. I can tell her of your plea, so she makes sure to check e-mail at least. Alternatively, she's just upstairs and I can go and fetch her and make her check e-mail this afternoon. Do you need me to do that?
Upstairs in the library working on her dissertation stuff, I mean. It's not like I just can't be bothered to yell up the stairs of my house and interrupt her trimming her toenails to respond to your summons. Thus my shall I interrupt her now query. I realize it's not quite clear from my original post.
Okay, I thought I knew where she might be, but she's proven to be an elusive Chesulker. I'll do my best to nab her if I can and point her to a computer at the earliest opportunity, but right now she's MIA.
Good heavens, woman. I'm on vacation to get AWAY from the bloody computer's distractions. I can't check my e-mail from renenet's office; we'll be home shortly and I'll check it then.
Okay, I *think* I just sent a reply. The webmail thing confounds me. Yes, I know you knew that already. Humor me.
As a side note, can we go back to referring to me by my chosen pseud? I'm discovering that I respond to "Chesulker" much the way I do to "Ms. [lastname]" when my students use it, which is that I completely fail to associate it with, well, me. No need to remove it from past posts; I don't *object* to it, I just have trouble answering to it.
Sure, HL is fine. "here's luck" isn't registering as a name because it is not, in fact, a name, unless one listens to The Honeydogs, in which case it not only is a name but has cool cover art associations; but otherwise I quite understand that it's a bit of an odd duck.
Which really just renders it that much more appropriate, if I do say so myself. Heh.
