[ETA: WHOA! This'll make a lot more sense now that I've fixed the mark-up. Sorry about that.]
Another question asked more than once: What are you going to do next?
The first thing in the queue is to write synopses for Cormorant Child and The Emperor of the Elflands, which are the two three-quarters complete novels (utterly unrelated) sitting on my hard-drive.
Cormorant Child begins, "With a shriek of protesting metal, the hatch opened, and Mule fell out of the palace-ship into the long grass of the Edrin Valley. He was trying to run before he made it to his feet."
The Emperor of the Elflands begins, "Maiah woke abruptly from a dream of the Great Lock of the Istandaärtha to find his cousin standing over him." [Still not sold on that first line, but it's getting better.]
Other novels under advisement are:

Other novels under advisement are:
- The Sidhetown Tigers (elvish baseball): Jefferson Finch was a lousy pitcher, but he was the best we had.
- Schrödinger's Parable of the Cat (science fiction of the multiple AU kind): Denise Blumenthal died on a beautiful spring morning in the polity of Greater Manhattan.
- Dark Sister (steampunk, circuses, dirigibles, mad scientists: this is my Screw-You-John-Godwin (And-Also-Bronson-Alcott) novel, and also wants to know what would have happened if Victor Frankenstein had tried to make an angel): Long ago, in a world none of them can remember, the vampires were taught to dance.
- The White Devil (Webster's White Devil meets Tartt's Secret History meets Dean's Tam Lin): Since I was a little girl, I've always told my father my dreams. Except for one.
- Blue Lace Agate (Ghoul Hunters novel): They hadn't caught the shoggoth larva smugglers yet, but the head of the BPI's southeast hub had other things on his mind: "And, ah, how are you and Sharpton doing, Keller?"
My first priority really, once my brain has grown back some, is to write some short fiction, but there are so many stories I want to write/finish, I don't even know where to begin.
