Waterlog

TIME: 50 min.
DISTANCE: 5.5 mi.
TOTAL DISTANCE: 100.9 mi. (w00t!)
DISTRACTION: "The Iowa-Scuba Affair" (MfU 1.2)
NOTES: I covet Napoleon's bathrobe.
SHIRE-RECKONING: Heading from Tom Bombadil's house toward the Barrow-downs.

Although it suffers from a sad dearth of Illya, this episode does have one of my very favorite exchanges between Waverly and Napoleon:

WAVERLY: And definitely dead.
NAPOLEON: Oh, very dead. It was a matter of his life or mine, and I chose his.
WAVERLY: Unfortunate. . . . Unfortunate and incredible that he should recognize you. I always thought you had a very common face.

out of curiosity, what is this Man from UNCLE show to which you are referring? *is pretty much intrigued by anything involving the name Napoleon*

It's a TV show that ran from 1964 to 1968, about the adventures of two spies named Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin. They work for the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement, a pan-national organization whose brief, put simply, is world peace.

Here's the IMDb page (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057765/).

And the wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_from_U.N.C.L.E.).

You can buy it from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Man-U-N-C-L-E-Complete-Robert-Vaughn/dp/B00005JM5Z/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1228839185&sr=8-3).

There are many (http://www.manfromuncle.org/) fan (http://solovision.aithine.org/) pages (http://www.davidmccallumfansonline.com/newdavid1.htm).

Your rewatching is swiftly catching up on my rewatching! I have been delinquent.

Not that it's a race, of course.

Best part of this one is Slim Pickens.
