Seriously, I Dream Of Jeannie? WTF?

But it's bouncy! And catchy! And the meat can dance to it!

1. What. The. FUCK?

2. The meat cannot now and never has been able to dance.

3. Please, for the sake of everyone's sanity, CUT IT OUT!

Neener neener!

And the theme from I Dream of Jeannie plays on.

I've found the only way to fix that is to put on something else and sing along. My sympathies--I woke up with Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl in my head and I HATE that song.

I'm not sure that I should thank you for that earworm.

Definately no thanks needed. A mental health warning would be nice though.

[nooooo, I can still hear it!]

At least you can identify your earworm. I have this tune that sits patiently in my brain, waiting to be identified. It doesn't really earworm me, but it's always there. I've hummed it for a bunch of people, but no one's been able to pin it down yet. I think it had to go with a sitcom or game show, but that's as far as I get.

Someday I'm going to figure out a way to transcribe it, and post it to my LJ, and no doubt I'll have an identification within 10 minutes. Or 5 minutes if I post an incorrect identification with it.

My music department tends to favor Barry Manilow, which tells you that I am possessed by demons. The worst part is that after a day of listing to children's TV in the background all day (the perils of aunt-dom) I will have "Can't Smile without you" interspersed with "Dora the Explorer" or some horrific amalgam of that sort. I have seriously thought of using a shotgun to stop the evil in my brain, but the side effects are murder.

Tricky.
But if you can manage to get Bob Dylan to sing it (I do realize there is no lyric, so tricky hardly covers it), you may be able to dislodge it.

It that doesn't work, you may be able to drown it out with "Vindaloo."
