So I need to show willing with this damn podcasting thing, and I do in fact have an .mp3 of me reading the first chapter of Corambis uploaded to my website.

ETA: After many travails and the ritual throwing of myself upon the mercy of my spouse, the complete file, at about half the size, is uploaded.

Right-click here to download.

Also, please let me know what you think.

As an alternative, though (and possibly a much better use of your time and bandwidth), I offer this video of a cheetah examining a truck. From the top down. Also other photos and videos of African animals from the very cool website of Andrew S. Flies.

Someone else will doubtless do this by the time I get home, but if not, I can easily split it; do you have a timestamp or timestamps to do it at?

Edit: Ah! I finally remembered the program I use, which is here: http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html

I like it because it shows the . . . noun, lost my nouns in the sleep deprivation . . . shows the sounds as waves and lets you click to set beginnings and ends, so you can make sure you have a really clean split.

There are lots of free MP3 splitters and joiners available on the interwebs.

I think this one, cleverly named MP3 Splitter, is the program I used last time I needed one.

Is it just me, or would you pull your hand back inside when the cheetah hissed at you?

I was assuming it was like a remote-controlled camera or something. Because, yes, I would.

Thanks for sharing! Although, is anyone getting anything more than the first two minutes?

No, it's a problem on my end. I am trying the upload again.

Cheetah: Camera smells tasty. But it keeps running away. Hmmm. I hope you're getting my good side. *poses* Got it?

I was trying to find a way to remember this in my own journal and accidentally hit flag. I don't think it actually flagged this entry since I didn't OK that but if I did, I'm extremely sorry and if you can tell me what I need to do to have the flag removed I will do so.
