if I may say so, EEE!
The first copy of Corambis arrived this morning, courtesy of the FedEx ninja. I've put it on the shelf with the other three where, I have to say, it looks fabulous.
Sometime between now and April 7, therefore, more copies of Corambis will show up in bookstores. I wish I could give you more precise information than that, but I can't. Official publication dates, like the Pirates' Code, are more guidelines than actual rules unless you are J. K. Rowling, which I most certainly am not.

Especially since I re-read the rest of the series last week and now can't focus on any other book because I need to know what happens. *g* They're even more fun the second/third time around.

True. You happen to be a very talented writer. :)

I agree it's pretty irksome when there's something you really want and you unpack all of the receiving only to find it hasn't shown up on time. I wish they would, you know, pretend they cared about customer satisfaction. (I love my store, but not my company. *g*)

Seriously, that is awesome. I am looking forward to it very, very much. And--how nice that you have your copy and can put it where you can see it, and seeing it makes you happy. That sounds like one of the better feelings out there.

Also, I have to admit, there is something immensely satisfying in seeing all four books together.

I was having a phenomenally horrible day, and finding this out has improved it a thousand-fold. I had entirely given up on the fantasy genre until I found this series -- I will certainly be waiting on tiptoe for the last one!
Also, seeing them all lined up on the shelf...that must be such a profound experience. You haven't just written a novel, you've written a series of four, and now the series is done. Magnificent!

At this rate I will be reading Corambis before Lois McMaster Bujold's last Sharing Knife novel, which came out on January 27 and my local library STILL hasn't acquired it.
I re-read a little bit of the first Labyrinth books every day. Just pick one up at random and read. It's delicious.

I *finally* got the chance to listen to Ch.1 yesterday, so my longing is especially fresh... this is terrific news! Off to Amazon I go....
And while I'm at it - I very much enjoyed your reading of the chapter. Thanks so much for taking the time to do it and sharing that. It was a treat!

And wow, this is really going to mark the end of an era, isn't it.
