2 things of possible interest

1. Clarkesworld Magazine will be publishing "White Charles," which is a Kyle Murchison Booth story, on September first. Free online fiction!

2. Peter Mulvey's new CD, Letters from a Flying Machine, can be ordered online. (You can download the first track, "Kids in the Square," for free here.)

Yes! More Kyle Murchison Booth is a cause for rejoicing!

Hooray for free fiction! :-)

My reunion with the world of Booth shall be like the fated meeting of two star-crossed lovers caught between a field of tulips and a bad similie...Seriously, September first is now marked on my calendar as a national holiday.

Yes! I love your stories and your books, so I'll be looking forward to reading it.

Yay! I just read "White Charles," and it's now one of my favorite Booth stories. I really, really hope that you'll be able to write enough Booth stories to warrant a second volume.

Out of curiosity, do you view this story at all as a companion-piece to Bear's "Shoggoths In Bloom"?

[identity profile] truepenny.livejournal.com 2009-09-02 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. I hadn't thought of it that way, but I can certainly see why you make the suggestion. And since I read "Shoggoths in Bloom" in draft well before I finished "White Charles," it's also certainly fair to suggest that it was an influence.

Also, thank you!

I just remembered today to follow the link and read "White Charles" (and I'm glad I didn't miss my chance--I had opened so many tabs since then that this one got buried). Thanks, I enjoyed it!
