Some things I should mention

1. The Mirador is going out of print in paperback. It's still in print in hardback, though.

2. I have an essay forthcoming in Whedonistas: A Celebration of the Worlds of Joss Whedon by the Women Who Love Them, edited by Lynne M. Thomas (co-editor of Chicks Dig Time Lords and a.k.a. rarelylynne) and Deborah Stanish. My essay is tentatively titled "The Kindness of Monsters."

3. Also, if I forgot to say, "White Charles" will be reprinted in The Year's Best Dark Fantasy and Horror, edited by Paula Guran.

4. Speaking of reprints, "After the Dragon" will be reprinted in Breaking Waves: An Anthology for Gulf Coast Relief, edited by Tiffany Trent and Phyllis Irene Radford.

5. And .mp3 files of Drabblecast's production of "Mongoose" are available: Part 1 and Part 2.

I'm sure you know this, but for anyone who reads that way, The Mirador is also available in Kindle format.

Yes, absolutely, as are the other three. I just read all four in Kindle format (on an iPad) during a trip to Europe. Hours of entertainment without carrying 1800 pages around.

And I loved them, btw.

They are also available as .epubs, for those of us with other ebook readers. Through the sony store (http://ebookstore.sony.com/author/sarah-monette_43985), and through kobo (http://www.kobobooks.com/search/search.html?q=Sarah+Monette&t=none&f=author&p=1&s=averagerating&g=both), and supposedly also through Diesel Ebooks, but the page wouldn't load for me.

I am, for the record, resisting the urge to buy them in ebook for my nook even though I own the hardcovers- perhaps BECAUSE I own the hardcovers, I want to reread them but they don't fit in my bag....

I have Melusine in hardback and the rest in paperback. I recently finished The Mirador and have one more left in the series. I love the books, but after each of the first two, I had to wait months before feeling ready to read the next, as I was left an emotional wreck!

Glad the Mirador hardback will still be around -- I think it's my favorite of the four.

I know you hate to see the books go out of print (and who wouldn't), but if it makes you feel better, every time I pass that shelf in my local library, half the series is checked out, duplicate copies and all. :)
