Storm windows / keep away the cold

No actual content, but the frost on the windows this morning was remarkably beautiful:

frost1

frost2

ETA: combining [livejournal.com profile] pameladean and [livejournal.com profile] sovay's comments, we learn that this is Mirkwood as designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Also, as I said to [livejournal.com profile] matociquala, it is what happens when your 107 year old windows are in desperate need of an upgrade.

(Also, happy birthday to the world's most awesome sister-in-law!)

Oh, that's wonderful; it looks like Mirkwood in ice. We've had some very fine frost of the feathery variety, but nothing like that.

Beautiful!

I mis-read 'frost' as 'font' at first, and that kinda fits too. ;-)

Pretty icy windows

Yes, it's very beautiful!!!! I wonder how it did that?

That is amazing... I live in a hot climate and have never seen anything like that, thank you!

Very cool!!!

Beautiful! I haven't seen frost flowers in years.

Oh, how lovely!

I thought calling that lace pattern ""Frost Flowers" (http://tashaknits.blogspot.com/2010/11/frost-flowers-lace-pattern.html) was just poetic. Huh.

That is serious Art Nouveau glass. It's like you've been visited by the Tiffany fairies.

Wow.

Never seen frost like that, and I have seen some frost.

It would actually be a demonstration of why we need to upgrade our 107 year old windows, *ahem*, but it is lovely at the same time.

I've got some 114-year-old windows, but they only make the curly feathery kind.

Yeah, our windows are, um, special.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us :)

That IS beautiful. As you say, unfortunate for what it says about the windows re: keeping cold out, but beautiful.

O wonderful! Fey Tiffany indeed.

Sadly, I have storms.
