Hugo

The nominees for the 2015 Hugos have been announced. The Goblin Emperor is on the list for Best Novel.

I find this all very very weird. Good weird! But weird.

w00t!

Heartfelt congratulations. I recommended Goblin Emperor to a friend Wednesday; today she told me she's read it twice. Really a wonderful novel.

congrats! Well deserved

It deserves to be on that list, as it was the best book I've read last year. Congratulations!

Congratulations.

Long-time listener, first time caller.

I enjoyed The Goblin Emperor so very much. I am so very, very happy to see it on the ballot. Congratulations!

Congratulations! It's such a good book.

[identity profile] jenavira.livejournal.com 2015-04-05 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Congratulations! I look forward to re-reading it in preparation for voting. :)

Congratulations, and well-deserved :-)

Considering how much I enjoyed The Goblin Emperor, I feel the nod is completely deserved.

(And my library has it; I've got it on hold, am now first in the queue. They also have Jo Walton's The Just City, and Bear's Karen Memory. What with zero dollars for book acquisition, the library system is one of the many reasons I am so, so lucky to live here.)

[identity profile] desperance.livejournal.com 2015-04-05 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Well deserved, utterly unweird (your book would have deserved its place on that list any year), and hugely consolatory, given the rest of the ballot. Congratulations!

[identity profile] cassandraterra.livejournal.com 2015-04-06 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Congratulations!! It is a wonderful book and fully deserves this nomination if not a WIN!!

[identity profile] emgrasso.livejournal.com 2015-04-06 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
When I saw the list I knew what my ballot for novel is going to look like -- So far I have read Skin Game once, Ancillary Sword twice and Goblin Emperor about 5 times. And seeing it mentioned has me in the mood to read it again.

I think I will order a hard-copy to celebrate its nominations -- most of my book buying is ebook format these days.

It's an excellent novel. Maia's just such a damn likeable protagonist! I recommended the book to my sister, who doesn't like novels which have a/elves, or b/kings. She loved it.

Congratulations! It's my current iPad book, and I've quite enjoyed what I've read so far -- about a third of the way through.

To add to the overall awesomeness, I've recently found your old series, the Labyrinth, on Amazon. They had Melusine' through Corambis. Awesome squared :D

Congratulations! So delighted to see this up for the Hugo--the world needs more hopeful fantasy about good people dealing with infrastructure problems.
