DOG: But I'm napping on your foot. I like it here.
ME: Do you want a cookie?
DOG: COOKIE! YES!
ME: Can you sit?
DOG: YES! *sits*
ME: You're so good! Can you back up?
DOG? YES! *backs up*
ME: Are you the very best dog there ever was in the whole world ever?
DOG: YES! GIVE ME COOKIES! *backs up some more* *sits* *drool*
ME: Good girl! *tosses a cookie* *goes about life*

Hee. True, she would definitely sit, stay, & slobber for a cookie. So it's probably partly that Doggo wants some lovin & Human wants to give Doggo some tummy scratches rather than head off to work.
