[livejournal.com profile] matociquala: Well, I don't mangle bird feeders. Which makes me better than many bears.
[livejournal.com profile] truepenny: And your liver isn't toxic!
[livejournal.com profile] truepenny: ... that came out all wrong.

I know authors don't get to pick their cover artists, but I'm still slightly hopeful that somebody will ask me what or who I want, as I've got stronger than average art opinions being a graphics monkey. (Of course, the book has to sell first.)

Cover artists I would kill to have: (Fantasy) Tom Canty, John Jude Palencar, Stephen Martiniere, Dave McKean, James Jean, Jon Foster (SF) Stephen Martiniere, Brian Despain

Nutrition program is having a regular federal audit visit. Auditor asks participants, "So, what have you learned?"

One of the women helpfully pipes up: "Polar bear livers are toxic!"

(The teacher had tried to keep up their interest with random facts about each vitamin. The bear liver/vitamin A piece was weird enough that it stuck.)

"Bear and Mole" sounds so much like a children's story, or possibly something like Wind in the Willows. And then the actual conversations .... decidedly aren't ;-)

(Suddenly I'm picturing Wind in the Willows with snark added. "Toad closed his eyes and muttered faintly, "Poop poop!" The Water Rat responded, irascibly, "Yes, yes, we'll get you a laxative back at Toad Hall. Now leave the car alone and go.")
