I don't have much to say beyond OMG WOW. I found The City & the City both brilliant and readable; other readers, of course, may not find it to be either of those things.

Oh! I had seen that book mentioned, then forgot that it was out. Now I know what to do with the bookstore gift card someone gave me. China Miéville is one of the very few authors who can turn me into a shameless fangirl.
