5 things for fimbulwinter

1. This guy's art is AMAZING.

2. The thing I forgot to mention in my previous post is that I now have a little weather prediction center in my right ankle that FAITHFULLY lets me know when the weather is changing. You know, just like characters in books always do. I must tell you, however, that it is not actually as much fun as you might think.

3. I love this proof that cats have always been cats.

4. I have rubbed a raw spot inside my nose with my sleep apnea tentacles. DON'T ASK ME HOW I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

5. If you are in need of laughter today, this site made me laugh so hard I nearly ended up on the floor.

I would like to thank you for the Terrible Real Estate Agent photos. My sides hurt now.

1. wow, yes it is!
2. I know what you mean. With me, it's the wrist, the knee and the sinuses and while there's always some kind of pain/ache that happens in one or all of those regions, it can be before, during, or after the pressure changes and isn't always the same combination of achy bits. Hmph. Silly bodies, indeed!
3. That's adorable. I like this one too: http://io9.com/this-medieval-manuscript-curses-the-cat-who-peed-on-it-1502884468?utm_campaign=socialflow_io9_facebook&utm_source=io9_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow
4.sorry - that sucks
5. Oh, dear. I've seen that site before, but there is always new material!

After my car crash I had a Weather Pelvis for a couple of years. It was about as much fun as you'd expect.

Cool name for a band though!

I had something similar after I broke my thigh-bone in high school. They put a shaft down the middle of the bone to keep it in place while it healed, and I used to know when the weather was changing.

I never had it removed, but it's stopped telling me the weather for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm in Denver now, and the air pressure is generally lower all the time? Dunno.

I forwarded that last link to an LJ friend who is currently trying to sell her house.

I have Weather Headaches, so I feel you there.

Yep. Ol' Barometer Head, that's what they call me.

Oh god, those real estate photos. What were they thinking?

I had to stop with the real estate photos because my laughter was bothering my cubicle neighbors.

It's probably pretty depressing that I have a hard time laughing at some of the terrible real estate agent photos as some of them look like the sort of move out photos we take when a tenant moves out to document the condition of the home and I just flashback to the worst homes we had to clean out.

I remember that artist - he's really great. There's a fic for his Pacific series from a past Dark Agenda Kaleidoscope fest: http://archiveofourown.org/works/275615

My hip randomly lets me know about incoming weather, but not reliably, which makes it just that much more irritating.

http://medievalfragments.wordpress.com/2013/02/22/paws-pee-and-mice-cats-among-medieval-manuscripts/ including the manuscript that a cat peed on, because, cats.

And also to thank you for the Terrible Real Estate Agent photos. If any of my neighbors had actually come in to work today they'd be wondering about the strangled squeakings coming from my desk.
